Outfit Details:

Ulla Johnson Sweater (last seen here, similar less expensive version here and here), Club Monaco Skirt, Janessa Leone Hat, Chanel Flats, Illesteva Sunglasses, Fendi Bag

One of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris is Le Marais. We always find ourselves wandering over to the neighborhood. With our friends staying nearby, we spent a lot of our time in this charming spot. I slipped on this easy look, fringed sweater and chiffon skirt, to walk the 30 minutes from our hotel to Le Marais. Walking in Paris is the best way to explore and discover, you end up missing so much when you take a taxi or the Metro.

Le Marais is known for a lot of things- great shopping and cool cafés, but also for the best falafel. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, make your way over to the Jewish quarter where you’ll have a handful of places to pick from. The lines are long but oh boy, is it worth it! We had originally planned on eating at the famous L’As du Fallafel but with the line down the street and around the corner, we went for the next best option, Mi-Va-Mi. They load up a huge pita with fresh tomatoes, cumber, red cabbage, hummus, hot falafel and topped with tahini.

We walked over to Place des Vosges to enjoy our delicious meal in the park, surrounded by many others devouring their falafel as well. This is one of my personal favorite spots in Paris to sit in the grass, listen to the calming fountains and people watch.

I had initially planned on wearing a crop top with this skirt, but overcast weather had rolled in overnight cooling off the hot temps we had been experiencing in Paris. Luckily, I had packed this Ulla Johnson sweater (last seen on the blog here) that’s my favorite sweater to pair with summer pieces. I also found this very similar cream fringe sweater that’s at a lower price point.

Outfit Details:

Chicwish Dress c/o, Fendi Bag, K. Jacques Sandals (similar here), Urban Outfitters Hat (similar here), Hermès Scarf

Our first stop in Provence was Avignon, where we stayed at the beautiful La Mirande. We arrived by train, checked in and headed out for dinner in the early evening light. The city was filled with people there for Festival d’Avignon, an annual arts festival held in the city every year in July. There were people dancing, singing, acting and drawing at every corner or alley, making it hard not to want to stop every few minutes.

gal-meets-glam-provence-travels3

We only stayed in Avignon for one night, making our way to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence the following morning. A mutual friend connected me and Vicki Archer while Thomas and I were still planning our time in Provence. I reached out to Vicki for recommendations as she and her family have had a house there for 15 years (you should actually read the story about it, it’s quite fascinating!) and she graciously invited Thomas and me over for a Sunday brunch. So, we drove the short distance from Avignon to Saint Rémy to her home (seen above and more below). If you’ve ever dreamed about what a home in Provence would look like, well, this is it.

Vicki and her family fell in love with this 17th century farmhouse while on a trip to Provence. They then moved their family to London from Australia so they could be closer to Provence to spend the next years restoring and bringing it back to life (you can see more of it on her site here and here).

gal-meets-glam-provence-travel12

We sat outside and talked for hours, sipping on rosé with the cicadas creating a humming buzz in the background. As a gracious hostess, Vicki had this beautiful spread set up for lunch, where we continued our conversations and stories. I could have stayed all day sitting and talking to Vicki, who is pretty much the coolest, chicest women I’ve ever met (did I mention she’s written two books- My French Life & French Essence).

gal-meets-glam-provence-travels50
gal-meets-glam-provence-travels45

I wore this easy blue & white Chicwish dress that just says “summer in Provence” to me, am I right? And as probably no surprise, I added my daily accessories including my gladiator sandals, big boater hat and saddle colored bag (topped with my new scarf I bought in Paris).

gal-meets-glam-provence-travels42

gal-meets-glam-provence-travels18

We stayed at Vicki’s home until the early evening, not wanting to leave, but having to make the drive to our next destination. We said our goodbyes and hopped back in the car, driving to Crillon le Brave, our next hotel that sits atop a tiny hill village that looks out over vineyards and olive groves. It looked like a story book town, with views that were absolutely surreal.

We moved around Provence quite quickly, with only a single nights stay in each place. Sometimes we wished we had more time in each location, but being there for such a short amount of time made us savor every moment- waking up at sunrise and never missing the dreamy sunsets.

Outfit Details:

Tracy Reese Dress (more sizes available here, also love this one and this one), Louboutin Pumps, Saint Laurent Clutch, Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in “Quince”

I couldn’t wait to bring out this gorgeous organza Tracy Reese dress while we were in Paris. I saved it for a special night spent cruising along the Seine prior to our friends wedding. They had a beautiful sunset cruise with cocktails that went right up to the Eiffel Tower, which sparkles at night. If you’re in Paris, you have to experience this at least once. I get giddy with excitement every single time it twinkles.

As one who is usually dressed up or overdressed for almost every occasion, I get way too excited heading to events where everyone will be taking that extra step. The men are nicely groomed in tailored suits and the women are dressed in their own idea of cocktail chic- I just love it. So, Thomas and I left our hotel in the Marais hand in hand, feeling just a tad bit fancier than we had earlier in the day.

I’ve mentioned it a handful of times here on the blog, but this style of dress is my favorite. I think it’s universally flattering on many body types and feels so feminine and classic. Plus, I love a full skirt that just makes you want to twirl.

With champagne in hand, we breezed along as the sun slowly set, getting a new perspective of Paris from the water.

I also love this dress, this dress and this dress that are all similar in shape and style of the dress that I’m wearing. A few other full-skirted ones I wouldn’t mind adding to my wardrobe include this lace and floral one, this blush one and this off the shoulder one.

Little Black Dress In Paris

Outfit Details:

Red Valentino Dress (pink versionlong sleeve version and coat version), Carven Sweater, Chanel Flats (similar here and here), Dior Bag (similar here), Chanel Bow

The little black dress will forever remain a staple in any women’s closet. I often forget about the color black since I’m initially drawn to bright colors, pastels or white. As someone who has a lot of dresses, I’ve never really found that perfect lbd that can be worn during the day or at night. I knew immediately when I saw this Red Valentino black dress that it had everything I had always been wanting, plus some (scalloped pockets, I’m talking to you…).

Rainy Paris

We waited until our last day in Paris to head over to the Eiffel Tower and although it was gloomy and rainy, it made for some gorgeous background clouds. Right as we got near, the sun started to peak out and lit up the tower in the most beautiful way!

Avenue de Camoens Eiffel Tower View

One of the best hidden gems for great shots of the Eiffel Tower is on Avenue des Camoens. One of our friends that lives in Paris told us about it and sure enough, a clear view without a single tourist. We made our way down along the water, crossing Pont d’Iéna and walking along Promenade Quai Branly and then back across Pont de Bir-Hakeim- each spot with exceptional views!

Because of the weather, I pulled my hair back into a low ponytail last minute and added this black Chanel bow (which I tend to do- see here, here and here). I also added my Carven sweater that has the faintest gingham print and peter pan collar over my lbd. A few other options for little black dresses that are worth the investment are this one, this one, this one and this one.

Outfit Details:

Carven Top, Express Skirt (last seen here), M Gemi Flats c/o, Saint Laurent Bag

We’ve been having the most beautiful weather in San Francisco this week, so Thomas and I decided to head over to the Conservatory of Flowers to enjoy a little sunshine after being inside most of the day. It really is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen it, with the dahlia garden in full bloom and the colors as vibrant as ever.

Eating Watermelon in the Park

I hardly ever wear all black, but if I do, it’s gonna be ultra feminine. I paired this old Express skirt (last seen here) with my Carven blouse I got on sale in Paris. My favorite touch? My new leather M Gemi flats that are not only super chic but also really comfortable. I pretty much live in flats, so I know I’ll be wearing these a ton this fall. Sizes are going quickly and they might be restocking, so make sure to put yourself on the waitlist for the next release!

What’s a summer afternoon without watermelon? It’s one of my favorite snacks- I just grab and spoon and eat it right from the rind. It feels so good to be back in San Francisco and cook most of our meals at home again. We stocked up on so many fresh fruits and vegetables to get back on our healthy track.

Valentino Coat (old), Comme Des Garcons Shirt, Joe’s Jeans c/o Lord & Taylor, Stubbs & Wootton Loafers, Fendi Bag

After three weeks abroad spent mostly in dresses, it was nice to come home to our cool SF weather and slip on a comfy pair of jeans. This pair from Lord & Taylor has just the right amount of distress to dress down my cashmere coat and button up. They’re a good shade between dark and light denim, so they go virtually anything. I paired them with my new monogrammed loafers for a busy day running around town.

Since we welcomed August last weekend, it’s only a short amount of time before we start thinking fall fashion again. I know I’ll be wearing these skinny jeans into the coming months with sweaters, boots and lots of layers, but it’s also nice to pair them with a delicate tank or flirty blouse while the temperatures still allow. I love a little distress to my jeans since my style is usually very put together and this Joe’s Jeans pair has just the right amount.

Thank you to Lord & Taylor for sponsoring this post.

Château de Chenonceau

Outfit Details:

Club Monaco Top, Club Monaco Skirt (dress version), Chanel Flats (similar here), Illesteva Sunglasses, Prada Bag

My favorite château that we visited in Loire Valley was Château de Chenonceau with its ultra lush gardens and unique design. It spans out over River Cher, creating a gorgeous scene that draws travelers to the property throughout the year. We made our way over in the evening just before golden hour, making it the perfect time to beat the crowds and get a nice cool breeze.

There are rowboats on the property that you can rent and paddle along the river riding under the château. You’re definitely able to get the best view this way and makes for some incredible photos!

We spent the most time in Diane’s Garden (the one pictured above) that has thousands of  perfectly manicured flowers and shrubs along with an original water fountain in the center.

There is also a 16th century farmhouse that has been restored as well as a vegetable garden on the property. It’s a charming contrast next to the vast château that is said to be rumored as inspiration for Cinderella’s Castle.

This Club Monaco skirt is one of those dreamy pieces that just floats in the wind. I love the mix of the two-tone pleats that gives it such a unique feel compared to the typical pleated skirt. It also comes in a gorgeous dress version in a slightly darker shade.

Above was my favorite garden on the property, Catherine’s Garden. The light was hitting the château just right, making it look like it had a spotlight on it and illuminating my tanned skin (thanks to the hot, hot weather). I kept cool in this Club Monaco crop top that has the prettiest scalloped crossover panels. I also bought in black because I wear them with all my higher rise midi skirts and it’s hard to find a crop top that isn’t too tight or show too much skin. Simple and chic, just the way I like it.

Outfit Details:

LOFT Dress (sold out, similar here and here), Vintage Belt, K. Jacques Sandals, Chloe Crossbody Bag, Illesteva Sunglasses

The last place Thomas and I stayed in Provence was at Domaine De La Baume in Tourtour. Fun fact, it used to be the home of Bernard Buffet, a French painter and Picasso’s “rival”. The property itself is beautiful, but we spent most of our time visiting the nearby towns and villages. Every morning at breakfast, the hotel would let us know which town was having an open market and on this particular day, that was Aups.

So Thomas and I drove over to the tiny little village of Aups. Coming from such an intimate and quiet hotel, it was a nice surprise to find the market bustling with locals and tourists. We made our way around, picking through the fresh fruits and buying lavender goodies for friends and family back home.

I wore this off the shoulder dress from LOFT paired with a vintage belt and my crossbody bag. It seemed like off the shoulder tops and dresses came back in full force this summer and I’m all for the style!

Outfit Details:

Express Top, Sweater & Jeans, Jane Pope Ring

This is pretty much my “at home” look- a comfy white tee and jeans. There is nothing more perfect to wear for lounging around the house and cooking on the weekends, which I can’t get enough of lately. The Express One Eleven tees are honestly the softest thing you’ll wear. Just buy one and you’ll want them all…I promise. I layered on this tee with this sweater, but also own this tank that I last wore here. These Jeans are also from Express and they are so comfy and flattering. Plus, they’re currently on sale for under $50! Together they make the perfect casual look.

Having breakfast at home
Express White V Neck Tee

Being home means getting to cook as many at-home meals as we can. We used to eat out quite often, and while we still do, there are many things that we’re putting in the effort to create ourselves. For example, we love acai bowls and would head over to Basik Acai on Polk as often as we could when we were home. So a few months ago, Thomas and I began experimenting making our own at home, playing with different mixtures and adding whichever toppings we craved that day.

The Best Acai Bowl Ingredients - Banana, Strawberry, Granola, Almonds, Bee Pollen, Cacao Nibs, Blueberries and Honey Toppings

Our favorite acai bowl is comprised of these ingredients:

Acai ingredients: 3 frozen acai packets (we like the brand Sambazon), .5 tablespoons of organic peanut butter, 1.5 frozen bananas and 6 tablespoons of almond milk (if it’s too thick, just add more almond milk)

For toppings: strawberries, blueberries, bananas, almonds, a crunchy granola, cacao, bee pollen and honey

The steps are pretty simple. Make sure all of your fruit and toppings are prepared before you make the acai. Then, just blend all of the “acai ingredients” together in a blender. Add on however much you want of each topping and voilà! You’ve got yourself the perfect acai bowl.

Red Valentino Dress, Chloe Bag, Ferragamo Pumps, Illesteva Sunglasses

I think in another lifetime I was a florist or gardener, I just love being surrounded by fresh flowers and this post is not lacking in that department. While in London back at the end of June, Thomas and I visited Queen Mary’s Garden at Regent’s Park. It’s London’s largest collection of roses with over 12,000 planted! During our visit, the florals were in full bloom and smelled even better than they looked.

The yellow bed above was called “Absolutely Fabulous” and made me think of my grandma because she is just that- absolutely fabulous. I think my love for all roses actually stems from her, they’re one of her favorite things (and she has quite the garden herself).

The park has plenty of spots to lay out and enjoy a picnic or you can rent these striped chairs for a small amount and grab lunch to-go at one of the cafes in the park (as we did). We got so lucky with beautiful, sunny weather while we were in London, which is not always the case so we savored every moment outside.

I had purchased this Red Valentino dress at the beginning of Spring, wearing it for a few special events but not getting the chance to shoot and share on the blog. I used to save dresses like this only for certain “occasions” but decided to start wearing them in my everyday life because, why not? Why not wear your favorite dress on a Tuesday just because? When paired with flats and a cross-body bag, it makes it much more practical. Red Valentino makes some of my all-time favorite dresses- you can see a few of my past posts here, here, here and here. The dress I’m wearing is from the Spring season and now sold out but the new Fall collection is just as good. A few of my most-loved dresses are this one, this one and this one.

Earlier in the week I had an appointment at SFO, so Thomas and I decided to head out early and stop by a few of our favorite spots in Oakland. It’s been a while since we’ve had time to venture out to the East Bay and I forgot how warm and beautiful it is out there (and not far from the city).

I’d been wanting to get out to the new Trouble Coffee that opened in early July. It’s all white and super sleek. We ordered a soy latte & mocha and two peanut butter + honey toasts. The toast is a must. I’ve also been to their smaller location in the Outer Sunset on Judah, which is just as delicious.

I have an affinity for dresses with bows (previous ones here and here) and this Ted Baker one was no exception. I recently picked it up at Neiman Marcus for an event I’ll be hosting at their Palo Alto store this Saturday from 1-4pm (more details at the end of the post!). It’s such a flattering piece and recently my go-to for an evening event or drinks with friends. This black version is also just as chic and I love the wrap bow around the waist.

We started the evening at The Terrace at Trump Hotel, which has spectacular views of Chicago and a great place for an early evening cocktail before the sun goes down.

We then made our way over to Expat in West Loop for some boozy sno cones before dinner at RM Champagne. Thank you to everyone who gave us recommendations for Chicago! We tried to fit in as much as we had time for in the two days we were there, which included lots of good food and sweets.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I’ll be hosting a Fall Trend Event at the Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto (in the Stanford Shopping Center) this Saturday, August 22nd, from 1-4pm. If you’re in the area, I would love for you to stop by and say hi :) Hope to see you there!

Vintage Shopping In Paris

Isabel Marant Top (white version here), Maje Skirt (also love this one on sale), Chanel Espadrilles (similar here), Fendi Bag, Illeseteva Sunglasses, Vintage Chanel Necklace (similar here and here)

One thing I wanted to do while we were in Paris was go vintage shopping. Even though Paris has quite possibly the best shopping in the world, we rarely shop while we’re there. There are just too many other things to do or places to see. But, this time around, I had done a little research and talked to a few pros about where to score the best vintage pieces while in Paris.

gal-meets-glam-maje-skirt11
gal-meets-glam-maje-skirt28

We spent our last fews days staying at Le Royal Monceau in the 8th Arr, right near the Arc de Triomphe and a short walk to Avenue Montaigne. Right off of Avenue Montaigne is a tiny little vintage store called Scarlett (3 Rue Chambiges, 75008 Paris, France) that is filled with luxury treasures with a specialty in Chanel. You can find racks of vintage Chanel jackets and blazers, a rainbow wall of bags and small shelves with delicate jewels just waiting for new homes.

Even though I had told Thomas that we were “just browsing, you know, vintage shopping!”, I was actually on a secret mission to find a vintage pearl Chanel necklace. Now, I knew the chances of finding what I actually wanted were slim to none, so my expectations were not set very high. But when I asked an employee at Scarlett if they had any and she turned around and brought this one to me, I was floored. It was exactly what I had been dreaming up in my head! Sold!

We made a quick stop in the afternoon to meet up with a friend for lunch at Cafe Pinson, a healthy little spot that has yummy, organic (mostly vegetarian) food. After eating one too many decadent meals during our time in France, all we really wanted was healthy food by the end of our trip. Luckily, Paris has quite a few cafés with “California cuisine”. Another great spot we tried out was Ob-La-Di.

gal-meets-glam-maje-skirt4

I’m curious to know, have you visited any vintage shops while in Paris? Or abroad? Any hidden treasures out there? Every time I’ve purchased a vintage piece, it’s as if a story comes along with it. Not just the story of how old it is or where it came from, but the story of finding it and how it ended up in my hands.

Alice + Olivia Jacket & Dress, Prada Bag, Charlotte Olympia Flats (last seen here), Jane Pope Ring

As I mentioned in last week’s post, I hosted a Fall Fashion Event this past Saturday at Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto and had such a wonderful time! Thank you, thank you to all of the amazing women that came out, it’s always such a treat to get to meet and hang out with Gal Meets Glam readers in person. I get to talk to everyone on social media, through emails and comments on the blog, but putting real personalities to faces and creating friendships is so special.

Alice + Olivia Embellished Tweed Jacket

I wore this matching embroidered tweed dress and jacket by Alice + Olivia for the event. The details are just beautiful and almost everyone in person thought it was Chanel. Tweed is such a ladylike and classic fabric and even though it’s cream, the weight and quality of the fabric make it easy to wear into fall and winter (which I’ll then wear with tights and boots).

Pearl Embellished Tweed Coat

Tweed Dress
Pink Prada Bag

This Prada bag has been my go-to tote since I bought it last December. Blush again proves to work as a neutral as I’ve worn it with dozens and dozens of looks, a few seen here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.

Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats

I initially wore my Louboutins for the event but switched into flats right after. My feet can only last so long in heels before I switch to flats so I usually always have a pair in my bag :) My Charlotte Olympia kitty flats are definitely the most fun pair in my closet.

J.Crew Shirt (old, similar here and here), LOFT Shorts (also similar here), Hunter Boots, Fendi Bag, Illesteva Sunglasses, Jane Pope Ring

At the beginning of the month, Thomas and I celebrated our three year wedding anniversary. Since we had been traveling so much this summer, we didn’t set any special plans. But a few days before, Thomas surprised me with the idea of going hot air ballooning out in Napa. Since it was an experience neither of us had done, it ended up being the perfect gift to each other.

We usually drive out to Napa Valley for the day or even an afternoon, but we decided to stay for two nights at the Farmhouse Inn to make it extra special for the occasion. This charming property in Sonoma had been on our list of places to visit since reading about it a few years ago. It’s nestled amongst lush green vineyards and has a very cozy and relaxing feel to it.

I pretty much use any excuse to pull out my Hunter boots and love the garden-chic vibe they give my gingham shirt and scalloped shorts. I only wish I had a garden myself- I would be out there everyday!

Every evening the hotel would set up a gourmet s’mores bar with fresh homemade marshmallows. My girlfriend who had stayed at Farmhouse a few months prior warned me how delicious these were! We, of course, had to take advantage of this little treat both nights. P.S. I’m wearing this oversized sweater in the image below.

After we went hot air ballooning in the early morning in Yountville, we walked to Bouchon Bakery for coffee and pastries before heading over to Auberge Du Soleil for a big, delicious breakfast. The crisp morning air made it feel like autumn had arrived, so we sat outside looking out at the views of Napa with warm drinks in hand.

Hot air ballooning was absolutely amazing. We booked a sunrise, private tour with Napa Valley Aloft and had such a great experience with them. We got lucky with clear skies and winds working in our favor. Watching the sun rise as we floated above Napa was just breathtaking!

Tibi Dress c/o, Brandy Melville Sweater (old, similar here), Chanel Flats, Fendi Bag, Silver May Bangles

The end of summer is always bittersweet. We want to embrace fall with open arms but we don’t want to let go of our warmer months just yet. This was a look that I wore a few months ago while we were in London. It already has me missing those summer days even though they aren’t gone just yet. We had flown from Santorini to London with dinner plans quickly after our flight, so I slipped into this eyelet Tibi dress.

We stayed in South Kensington this trip and loved walking through the beautiful brick homes covered in ivy and roses on our way to meet our friends.

We got lucky with warm and sunny weather while we were in London, but I always bring a soft sweater with me for the cool evening breeze. I slipped this one around my shoulders and grabbed my Fendi bag and Silver May bangles to finish the look.

Mother of Pearl Top, 7FAM Jeans, Stuart Weitzman Boots c/o, Stella McCartney Bag

Karl Lagerfeld once said “Black and white always looks modern, whatever that means”. But it’s true! I think in this sense, modern means that regardless of trends, the year, or season, black and white always feels current and classic. It’s a combination that will never let you down. That’s one of the reason why most of the items that I splurge on or invest in are black or white.

gmg-stuart-weitzman30
gmg-stuart-weitzman17

A black pair of booties are one of the items that are worth spending a little bit more money on. Once you find the right pair, you’ll want to live in them and they will become a staple in your wardrobe. These Stuart Weitzman KOKO booties are exactly what I’m talking about. I usually stray away from any booties that go above my low ankle (I’ve never found them flattering on me), but the soft leather hits at such a great spot, elongating my legs instead of shortening them.

gmg-stuart-weitzman4

gmg-stuart-weitzman18
gmg-stuart-weitzman22

I’m someone who would live in dresses 24/7 if it were practical. It’s hard for me to get as excited about a top and jeans as I do over a gorgeous dress. But every once in a while, I find a piece that changes my mind and has me switching up my ways. This bell sleeve top did just that when I tried in on for the first time. I’ve been pairing it with everything from boyfriends jeans to trousers to these old black coated skinnies.

Every fall season I invest in a new pair of boots. Last year it was my Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots (that I loved so much, I bought in two colors- last seen here, here, here, here, here, here and here) and this year it’s my leather KOKO booties. I can already see them with so many looks transitioning into fall. You can check out more of the Stuart Weitzman Fall Collection in the video below featuring Gisele.

Thank you to Stuart Weitzman for sponsoring this post.

Ladylike in Paris

Lela Rose Dress, Chanel Flats (similar here and here), Dior Bag (similar here)

I find Paris to be such a romantic city. Thomas and I try to savor every moment together while we’re there. We love walking around and taking in all of the beauty from the incredible architecture, the short but sweet espresso moments in random cafes and endless museums and parks and things to do. It really is such a special place and we love getting any opportunity to visit.

gmg-paris-lela-rose3
gmg-paris-lela-rose45

We started this day off by walking over to the Pont Alexandre III, the most beautiful bridge in Paris (in my opinion) and then making our way over to the Musée d’Orsay, where we could have spent hours looking at the Monets, Renoirs, Degas and Van Goghs. It also has an incredible of the Tuileries Gardens across the Seine.

All I every really want to wear are feminine dresses and ballet flats. It’s my unofficial uniform of sorts, isn’t it? I think I’ve lived in the combination all summer long and now I’m slowly switching to fall keeping the same pieces on rotation but just adding more layers. This Lela Rose dress has a vintage vibe, which is what initially drew me to it when I bought it this past spring. The structure and fit and is so feminine and ladylike, especially with its black and white rose print.

Carette is another must-stop while in Paris. Located in the Marais, it’s filled with delicious little treats and sugary pastries. A perfect spot for an afternoon tea and pick-me-up sweets.

Two purchases I’ve made in Paris (on separate occasions) were my little black bag and my black quilted flats. Both were a splurge, but items I’ll have in my closet forever. I’ve found a few similar options online that are equally chic and timeless like this black and gold bag and these flats.

Look 1: MICHAEL Michael Kors Trench, Dress, Boots, Bag, Michael Kors Watch, Michael Kors Ring

Look 2: MICHAEL Michael Kors Dress, Booties, Bag, Michael Kors Watch, Michael Kors Bangles

Fall is my favorite season to transition into. It’s around this time of year that I’m craving cooler weather, chunky sweaters and a good neutral palette. It’s also when I start to minimize my jewelry to a select few pieces that are versatile and easily transition from look to look. Those pieces include delicate gold rings and bangles along with a statement watch that adds just the right amount of boldness when paired with the other dainty jewels.

In the brisk morning air, I reached for this suede trench coat, which is just as dreamy and luxe as it looks. It’ll pair with everything in your fall wardrobe, from bright colors to all black. Cafe Francisco is one of our favorite little spots in North Beach, where we often go for breakfast meetings over lattes and bagels.

I’ve been wearing my classic Michael Kors watch since college, so switching to the leather embossed Sawyer watch was a nice change. It adds an unexpected touch of masculinity to my ultra feminine outfits, which I love.

Thomas and I are always sightseeing in San Francisco! It’s fun to be a tourist in your own city and venture outside of your typical routine or go-to places. Aside from great restaurants and one of my favorite SF parks (Washington Square Park), North Beach has some amazing views of the city, particularly of downtown. If you make your way to the top of the hill, you’ll find views of the Bay Bridge and on a clear day, even Alcatraz.

This khaki cotton dress with contrasting metal hardware is another great neutral staple for any fall wardrobe. I’m repeatedly reaching for simple and easy dresses like this as they’re perfect for the on-the-go lifestyle that we have. I’ve paired it with my essential fall accessory, my Michael Kors Bradshaw watch in Merlot.

Thank you to Michael Kors for sponsoring this post.
