The Perfect Shoes For NYE

We rang in 2018 with my sister Lauren and her fiance in Ireland, where they live. It was hardly minutes after midnight on January 1 when we began making plans to celebrate New Year’s Eve together again this year! This time, they are making the trip to New York City to experience firsthand how magical the city is around the holidays, and to be one of our first guests in our new apartment. Since we don’t see them too often, we hope to make the best of every moment they’re in town, which includes plenty of opportunities to dress up…something Lauren and I have loved doing together since we were little. Along with the black-tie event we’ll be attending on New Year’s Eve, we’ve also made reservations at some of our favorite restaurants, picked up tickets to the theater, and more. I can hardly wait to take some of my favorite styles from the December Gal Meets Glam Collection out for a spin and to style them with dressy heels fit for each of these memorable occasions. See below for a few gorgeous shoe options that would pair perfectly with GMG dresses on New Year’s Eve!

Viola

Floral lace overlay and a ruffled hem give the Viola a fun style to celebrate in. Add crystal-embellished sandals or an unexpected pop of color to dress it up even more.

Presley

The Presley’s short, fitted silhouette is chic with a floral interlaced jacquard pattern. Pair it with a high dressy sandal or tapered stiletto.

Octavia

The Octavia’s elegant bare shoulder and draped hem gives it the perfect party style. Pair with a simple ankle strap or slip on heel for a finishing touch.

Ruthie

The Ruthie transitions from work to NYE black tie with a quick change of shoe. Add an elegant satin, patent or colorful heel to dance the night away.
