This past weekend, my husband and I headed up to Sonoma to celebrate my birthday. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend. Our first day, we went wine tasting at Chateau St. Jean (so beautiful & great wines) and then checked into our hotel- the stunning Kenwood Inn & Spa. Most of the pictures above are from the property, which is used a lot for wedding because it’s so gorgeous. We fell in love with the hotel (there were fire places everywhere…swoon) and didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay! Everyone there was so friendly and sweet and the chef even made a vegan and gluten free dinner for us. The second day, we started off with a few spa treatments and then headed back out to wine taste at BR Cohn, Benzinger & Kunde- all came highly recommended at our hotel and we loved them! We wanted to stock up on some great wines to have on hand for dinner parties and family events and this was the perfect time. On Sunday morning, we packed up, headed to Matanzas for one last one tasting (and to grab some fresh lavender) and then to Healdsburg for lunch and a little exploring. You can see more of our pictures on instagram as well.The drive is pretty short for us, about an hour, and we’re definitely planning on heading back soon with friends.
