You guys remember the San Francisco city guide I did with Piperlime last month, right? Well, I was so excited when they asked me to collaborate with them for their new campaign, sharing my ‘16 Hour Style‘. This is all about my favorite go-to work look that can last from am to pm. You can check out my feature on their site here and shop more of my ’16 Hour Style’ top picks. I’m also taking over their instagram today (@Piperlime) so be sure to follow along!
My typical work day is different from day to day, so having an outfit that can be versatile is really key. Since I work from home and do spend a good amount of time at my computer, I want something that’s comfortable but still professional for when I have to leave for meetings, shoots or events. I usually start my morning off with a breakfast meeting or grab a cup of coffee with a girlfriend or my husband. Rose’s Cafe is a neighborhood favorite of mine- I love the ambiance and they have the best (and biggest) lattes. My afternoons are usually filled with emails, calls, meetings and shoots. This has me anywhere from my desk to downtown and anywhere else in between! I always have a pair of pumps ready to throw on and head out the door (but I still like to keep flats in my bag if I know I’ll be walking a longer distance) My day usually ends with an event and a late night dinner with my husband or girlfriends. If I’m downtown, I love heading over to The Embarcadero where there are so many good places to eat. The Plant Cafe is my favorite healthy choice, but The Slanted Door is another delicious option.
Pure Sugar Blazer (on sale), Equipment Blouse, Splendid Pants, DV Dolce Vita Pumps, Clare Vivier Clutch c/o Piperlime, Buxom Lipstick in “Rogue”
A good pair of casual trousers are one of my essential ’16 Hour Style’ pieces. I look for something that can be dressed up or down and look good with flats or heels. This Splendid pair are perfect to get through the work day, but still casual enough to wear on the weekends. My second essential is a silk blouse and Equipment does such a good job with their ultra soft fabric and unique prints. My third essential are a pair of pumps- this DV Dolce Vita pair aren’t too high and comfy enough to last all day. To top off the look, I added a crisp white blazer in the afternoon along with red lipstick to dress up the look for whatever evening festivities are ahead.
