San Francisco City Guide

I was so excited when Piperlime asked me to team up with them to share a mini San Francisco guide of my go-to spots. (You can check out the interview I did with them here along with my top Piperlime picks!) I’m constantly exploring this beautiful city and love telling others about new places I’ve discovered or the spots I keep going back to. Thomas and I spent an entire day bouncing around SF shooting at each location, so it is possible to accomplish this all in a day! We love starting our Saturdays off bright and early at the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market. We stock up on a majority of our fresh fruit and veggies for the week ahead (as well as flowers, of course!) The view along the Embarcadero is spectacular, especially at night when the Bay Bridge is all lit up.

I’m a sucker for some colorful, fresh dahlias!

This Velvet top is so comfy and great as one of those throw-on-and-go weekend pieces. I paired it with a distressed pair of J Brand jeans that I have literally lived in over the past week. They hit at the perfect length for ankle booties and don’t stretch out throughout the day.

This raffia bag is so great for anyone who lives in San Francisco and buys their groceries in small quantities (like we do) and doesn’t want to pay for bags again and again (I always encourage using reusable bags!) They’re also perfect for farmer’s market hauls.

Cafe St Jorge San Francisco

Next stop is one of my favorite spots for breakfast/brunch, Cafe St. Jorge. They have the yummiest avocado toast (delicious gluten free options, too), salads and sweet treats. It’s all the way out in Bernal Heights, which is a bit of a trek from where we live in the city, so we don’t get here that often. It’s definitely a treat when we do! Also, make sure you order the almond milk mocha- yum!

Alamo Square San Francisco

Alamo Square is one of those quintessential San Francisco spots. It’s where the famous Painted Ladies are located and is one of my favorite parks in the city. We love heading over with a picnic in tow, a good book and a bottle of wine when the suns out.

Golden Gate Bridge

My favorite view in all of San Francisco is the one of the Golden Gate Bridge. We don’t live far, so we’re always riding our bikes along the Marina right up to the base of the bridge. It’s usually pretty windy and cold along the water, so we always stop by Warming Hut for a hot coffee or tea to warm up before our ride back. You can always keep riding all the way across the bridge to Sausalito and take the ferry back to the city.

Hayes Valley San Francisco

Our last stop is in Hayes Valley, one of my favorite neighborhoods for their unique boutiques and restaurants.

I’m in love with this printed Everly dress. It’s a steal at only $79 and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I mixed it with a red lip, leopard clutch and gold sandals for a fun and eclectic date night look.

Bar Jules Hayes Valley

Bar Jules is a perfect date night spot for it’s intimate feel and small, but delicious menu. And make sure to stop by Smitten Ice Cream after for dessert!
